Runners with a neutral stride one that neither over- nor underpronates significantly have a premium option in the Nike Zoom Vomero+ 6, first introduced in April 2011. Main FeaturesWeight: 12.2 ounces (mens size 9)Gender-specific flex grooves in the outsole enhance flexibility and offer a smooth stride. Reflective elements enhance visibility in low light. Elastic mesh panels flex with the foot while allowing breathability. Additional InformationThe Zoom Vomero+ 6 consists of a simple design that features targeted overlays that connect the lace system to the midsole to help secure the foot to the footbed. This version reduces seams throughout the vamp, maximizing comfort. The midfoot saddle consists of casting polyurethane (CPU), which absorbs shock and withstands many cycles of compression. CPU retains a high degree of rebound even after many compressions. It also consists of Nikes Cushlon foam, and Nike Zoom units in both the heel and forefoot. Nike Zoom units provide resilient cushioning that is low profile to keep runners closer to the ground and boost responsiveness. An extended crash pad under the heel helps create a more natural transition from heelstrike to toe-off. BRS 1000 carbon rubber on the crash pad and Duralon rubber under the forefoot add long-wear durability. These shoes are Nike+ compatible with a pocket under the left insole to accommodate a chip that can record the details of the run. Runners can then upload their data to the internet to set goals, track progress and connect with other runners.
